Ninety years above the Channel coast
Few airports carry as much romance as Le Touquet Elizabeth II. Since 1936, its runway has welcomed everyone from pre-war aristocrats to modern-day private pilots hopping the Channel for a long weekend. To mark nine decades of flight, the organisers are staging a special edition of the Le Touquet Air Show from Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27 September 2026 — five days of aerobatics, history and celebration that will fill the northern French sky.
What's on
The programme blends sport, culture and pure spectacle across five days:
- Friday 25 September, 7:30 pm – Air Run. A dusk run around the airfield to kick off the celebrations with energy and atmosphere.
- Saturday 26 September, 10:30 am – Historical lecture. An in-depth look at the airport's nine decades, illustrated with archive material and expert commentary.
- Saturday 26 September, 7:00 pm – The Aviators' Evening. A gala dinner and party running well into the night — the social centrepiece of the whole week.
- Sunday 27 September, 1:30–5:00 pm – The Air Show. The big finale: formation flying, aerobatics and rare aircraft over the dunes and beaches of the Côte d'Opale.
